Camping in the Vosges in September: take advantage of the latest availability
The Domaine des Bans campsite in Corcieux, in the heart of the Vosges, remains open until mid-September. This is one of the best times to discover or rediscover this region: the fir forests turn softly golden, the lakes are calmer, and the 35 hectares of the Domaine breathe differently. There is still some availability. Here’s what we suggest.
Our accommodation available in September
Cottages and mobile homes with lake view
Our rental accommodation ranges from 2-flower mobile homes to Premium cottages with private spa on terrace. In September, some lake-view accommodations remain available – including our 3-flower gîtes and 4-flower cottages, among the season’s most popular.
For groups or large families, we also offer Premium cottages in two modules sharing a common terrace. A rare format, designed for 8 people who wish to travel together without overlapping.
The ranges are distinguished mainly by their level of comfort:
- 2 flowers: comforters and pillows included
- 3 flowers: extra safe and closet
- 4 flowers: double bed 160×200, bed linen and towels included, dishwasher, baby kit
- Premium: all 4-flower benefits + hairdryer, pedestrian zone, end-of-stay cleaning included
Pitches in the heart of the Vosges
For those traveling in tents, caravans or motorhomes, our pitches remain available until closing time. Delimited by hedges, on grass or gravel depending on the type, they all have water and electricity. Motorhomes benefit from a drainage and emptying point in the parking lot.
In September, our pitches in the heart of the Vosges offer real peace and quiet: the shade of the trees, the sound of birdsong in the early morning, and the closeness to nature that makes a stay under the Vosges stars so charming.
September in the Vosges: a season in its own right
A different light, a different softness, a different rhythm
There’s something special about the Vosges in September. Temperatures remain mild, the days are still long, but the air is changing. The end-of-summer light filters differently through the fir and beech woods, tinting the landscape amber and deep green. The hiking trails around Corcieux and the Vosges mountains are gradually emptying – and that’s precisely what those who choose this period are looking for.
Imagine a morning walking along a lake in the Vosges without meeting a soul, before returning to the campsite for lunch on your terrace. This end-of-season holiday has a flavor that July can’t offer.
The Vosges forest in autumn
At this time of year, the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park and the surrounding area offer a natural spectacle that nature lovers sometimes look forward to all year round. The colors gradually change, the fauna becomes more active, and the signposted trails around the Domaine des Bans allow you to enjoy them on foot or by bike from early morning. Xonrupt-Longemer and Gérardmer, just a few kilometers away, also offer water sports on their crystal-clear lakes.

The presence of the lake in the campsite reinforces this unique atmosphere, between calm water and playful space.
Nature activities around the Vosges lakes
Kayaking, mountain biking and fishing are just 15 minutes away. Lac de Gérardmer offers supervised swimming and water sports in the heart of the Vosges countryside. On site, our large lake offers card-operated fishing – a peaceful activity, particularly popular outside the high season.
For families with children, accrobranche (tree climbing), canoeing and hiking are all within easy reach, thanks to the ideal terrain for exploration at any age. Bikes are also available for hire on site – perfect for joining the greenway at Anould, just ten minutes away.
Our team is available to guide you towards the best activities according to your wishes and the current weather.
